Jerry H. Jackson

It is with deep sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Jerry H. Jackson, who departed this life on June 29, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on May 25, 1950, in Petersburg, VA, Jerry lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to family and friends. He was known for his cooking, his sense of humor, his thoughtful nature, and for faithfully driving Mrs. Jackson. He found joy in cheering on the LA Lakers and the Washington Commanders. Jerry worked for many years at Brown & Williamson Tobacco in Macon, GA. He proudly served his country in the military as a Marine and was a devoted Mason of Mount Carmel Lodge #1. Jerry made a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know him; to know him was truly to love him. Whether through his work, his community involvement, or his everyday acts of kindness, this man of few words touched many lives.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Shelia K. Jackson of the home; one daughter, Jerri, also known as “Kel” Vincent of Chesterfield, VA; one son, Jarrod Jackson of Petersburg, VA; and one bonus son, Wes Johnson of the home. He also leaves behind one grandson, Xavier Jackson of Chesterfield, VA; two sisters, Teresa Williams of Hopewell, VA, and Gloria Chambers of Albany, NY; six sisters-in-love; and three brothers-in-love. And a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pomphey and Rozetta Jackson, and his biological mother, Hazel Hunt. Tv

Though deeply missed, Jerry’s love, compassion, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
