Mr. Johnnie Crawford, age 86, entered into eternal rest in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, September 22, 2018.Born on July 1, 1932 in Chester, SC Johnnie was the one of 7 children. He joined Armenia Baptist Church at an early age. Later in life after meeting his wife he joined the United House of Prayer. He worked 10 years for the City of Charlotte before retiring.Johnnie was preceded in death by his mother and father Maggie Crawford and Robert Strong along with 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 son.Survivors include his wife Maggie J Crawford, daughters Mamie Crawford and Johnnie Mae Crawford, sons Maurice Crawford, Jerry Crawford, and Jerome Crawford and one brother James Crawford (Baltimore, MD). 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 special nephew James Young and a host of relatives and friends.
