Johnnie Franklin Parker

Mr. Johnnie Franklin Parker (commonly known as “Frank”) of Charlotte, NC, died December
13, 2023, at Atrium Health Hospital surrounded by family. He was 83 years old. He was the son
of the late John W. Parker and Suriee Whitworth. Frank was born May 25, 1940, in Kings
Mountain, NC where he attended Cleveland County schools. He worked as a contractor for the
City of Charlotte where he retired.

Frank leaves to cherish, his life companion Julia Wingate, and his five children Regina
Cook of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jeffrey Wingate, of Charlotte, NC, James Houston, of
Lancaster South Carolina, Johnnie Parker Evans of Pageland, South Carolina and Angela Parker
of Columbia, South Carolina. He also leaves to cherish four stepchildren, Twain Floyd, Rochelle
Wingate, Gwen Neil, and Howard Neil. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and
,nephews and other relatives.
