It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Johnny C. Anderson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the age of 80.

Johnny Anderson was born on November 15, 1944, in Wilson, North Carolina, to mother Mattie Gladys and father Cole Greene. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Schools. At an early age, he developed a love for golf and became a caddy for local golf clubs. Johnny later became a skilled machinist at the Pipe and Foundry Company. His love for cuisine led him to become a chef for several Charlotte restaurants until his retirement.

Johnny C. Anderson was well known and admired for his sharp dressing, good looks, and kindness. He was a recognized spokesperson for Alcoholics Anonymous, co-founder of the Narcotics Anonymous "Never Too Late" Homegroup, and an inspiration to many.

Johnny C. Anderson is survived by his loving wife, Mary Brewer Anderson; daughter Dianna Anderson Davis (William); daughter Mary Fallie McCoy (Tony); stepson David Fallie (Cheryl); brothers Ronnie Leake and Rudolph McGill; grandchildren Mitchell Moses III (Jennifer), Destiny Anderson, Laquetta Strickland, Rea Davis, Renita Pough, Elizabeth Davis, William Davis, Lauren McKoy, TJ McKoy, David Alexander, Octravius Alexander, LaQuasha Fallie, DeAsia Fallie, Adarius Lytch; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Johnny Anderson was predeceased by his mother Mattie Gladys; father Cole Greene; brother James Frank Leake; sisters Dorothy Malinda Leake and Lawanda Denise McGill; and children Eugene Anderson, Sheila Strickland, Rosaland Moses, and Reginald Anderson.

Johnny C. Anderson will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

We will forever hold him in our hearts and carry his memory with us.
