Jose Antonio Hernandez

Jose Antonio Martinez Hernandez, "Jimmy", son of Flor Hernandez and Matilda Martinez was born on August 12, 1960 Juncos, Puerto Rico. He is precede in death by his mother and father. God's angels peacefully escorted him to his Lord and Savior on November 20, 2017 from his residence in Charlotte, NC. Jose leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Michelle Hernandez (Arlington, TX) and Shadia Alexis Hernandez (Charlotte, NC) daughter of Sharon Mitchell; one step daughter, La Porche Mitchell (Charlotte, NC); one son, Paul Mitchell Hernandez (Arlington, TX); two stepsons, Rodrick Mitchell and Xavier Adams (Charlotte, NC); one brother, Flor Martinez Jr. (Maria Najera) of Arlington, TX, and three sisters, Carmen Rosa Martinez Hernandez (Robert Curz), Maria Magdalena Martinez Hernandez (Francisco Ayala), and Carmen Delia Martinez Hernandez; all of Juncos, Puerto Rico.His grandchildren, other family members, church family, friends and a special friend, Shelia Douglas will also share in this great loss.Jose received true salvation and was baptized in Jesus name November 23, 2014 and daily displayed the work of the Holy Spirit. He served God faithfully and joyously as a member of Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church. He was dedicated and passionate in the churches' outreach ministry and made a huge impact in our community. He touched the hearts of many and was a true blessing to all who knew him. Now our beloved brother can truly say in the words of Paul, "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith". His presence in this life will be truly missed and we look forward to seeing him in glory.
