Joe Cochrane, 51, of Matthews, went home to be with his Heavenly Father Thursday, November 12, 2015 after a courageous 6 ½ month battle with melanoma cancer.
Joe was born in Charlotte on July 10, 1964 and resided in Matthews. He was a 1982 graduate of East Mecklenburg High School and began his career in woodworking soon after. He was a craftsman in woodworking and spent many years building custom cabinets. He most recently found fulfillment as a vital team member of Bolt Express 3 years ago as a sales rep who was passionate about customer service and the relationships he established.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Linda; precious children, Shelby and Owen; proud parents, Paul and Sara Cochrane; and dear sister, Kim Walkup.
Joe loved his church and pastor, spending time at the beach with his family and friends, playing in a local pool league, and South 21 on Friday nights. He is an honorary member of Carolina GM Association and had a great appreciation for classic cars.
Joe left behind an amazing legacy of being an honorable husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Leading a life of unselfishness, Joe always put our Lord and others first. Everyone who was fortunate enough to know Joe was influenced in a positive way and is a better person for knowing him.
