Joseph Deas, Jr.

March 2, 1939 — September 22, 2022

“A righteous man walks in integrity. Blessed are his children after him.” Proverbs 20:7"

My Journey Home

As I gazed out in the distance a small voice sang to me
Sweet melodies of love while beautiful Angels embraced me.
I wasn’t ready, I wanted more time but
God reminded me it wasn’t up to me.

Sweet voices whispered to me

There’s nothing more beautiful than what you’re about to see.

I lifted my head as high as I could
My curiosity always got the best of me

I wanted to see,
What could it be?
It must be the gift God had only for me.

The time had come so I lay still
and waited for the Angels to lead me.
I felt the breeze, the cool morning air and I
let the Angels take me there.

More peaceful than I’ve heard,
The ride was amazing!
I felt free as a bird!

I open my eyes
I can’t believe
Heaven is the place….
God has gifted me!
