Latonya Nekeba Wilmore

LaTonya Nekeba Wilmore, the loving daughter of Arlene Ratliff Wilmore and James H. Wilmore was born June 20, 1972 in Charlotte, NC. Tonya (Tiny) as she was affectionately called, received her early education in Mecklenburg County schools and graduated from West Charlotte High School, class of 1990. She later attended Queens College in Charlotte, NC.Tonya was a faithful employee of Bell South and later various check cashing stores where she never met a stranger because of her outgoing personality and infectious smile. Tonya was full of life! Her jovial laughter could move through the entire room, lifting the spirits of anyone in her presence. She was the“life of the party!” She was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but her greatest joy was family gatherings.Tonya loved the Lord and when she was faced with health challenges, she always remained positive and steadfast in her faith. She never complained and would always say “I’m alright”. She fought a good fight, but the battle wasn’t hers, it was the Lord’s. LaTonya leaves behind, Arlene Wilmore (Mother), and James Wilmore (Father) of Charlotte, Tatiana Wilmore (Daughter), of South Carolina, LeShawn Dinery (Sister) of Charlotte, Elijah Westbrook (God Son), of Charlotte and a host of loving relatives and friend groups from childhood who will miss her dearly.
