Leroy Warren Singleton, Sr.

LeRoy W. Singleton, Sr. departed this life on March 20, 2013 at Mercy Hospital. Mr. Singleton was the son of the Late Howard Elliot and Ruth Edith McKinnon-Singleton. He was a graduate from Kingston High School and attended CPCC. Mr. Singleton was a former member of the Franklin Street AME Zion Church where he had served several terms respectively as chairman, treasurer, and secretary of the Trustee Board. He was a member of the gospel chorus group and choir. He served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He retired from IBM as a Computer Specialist after 35 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Gloria Neal Singleton, three children; Lenora Ruth German and husband James, Gloria Lynn Singleton and LeRoy W. Singleton, Jr. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 11:00 am @ St Paul Baptist Church. Viewing will be held between 10:00 and 11:00 am. Burial will be at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
