Leroy Ainsworth Wilson

Leroy Ainsworth Wilson was born in St. Thomas, Jamaica West Indies on August 23,1941 to the late Ernest James Wilson and Edna Mae Dyght. He married the late Princess Wilson in August 1962 and with this union had five children, Charmaine Heron, Richard Wilson (deceased), Janice Wilson, Dave Wilson and Coral Riley and one stepson, Stefon Welch.

In 1971 he migrated to Brooklyn, NY where he and Princess raised their family. In 1996, Leroy moved to Charlotte, NC and later retired from Charlotte Mecklenburg School District.

He will be missed by his 4 children, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sisters Norma, Monica, Dorett and brother Jimmy. He will be missed by many friends and extended family. He will also be missed by his loving companion Dorothy Givens and family.
