Letha Williamson

December 14, 1924 — August 19, 2020

Letha Jeter Williamson was born on December 14, 1924 in West Springs, SC, and departed this earthly life for her eternal home on August 19, 2020. She was the last surviving child of Lillie Young and Andrew Jeter, who preceded her in death, as well as her husband Rev. Robert Carl Williamson, Nehemiah Jeter (brother), Samuel Jeter (brother), Ida Huff (sister), Eugene Jeter (brother), Luvenia Jeter (sister), and Marion Terry (daughter). Church was always an integral part of her life since childhood. At The Fellowship Place, her current church, she gladly accepted the title of “Mother” of the Church. Mother dedicated her life to giving back to others. For example, she volunteered at the Metrolina Food Bank, prepared dinners at the Women's Shelter, presented special Christmas programs, and conducted Bible Studies at nursing homes. She had a list of people that she regularly called to check up on them. She was a lifelong member of the local chapter of AARP #4677. For her work she received a service award from the national AARP organization. She enjoyed sewing - without a pattern. Her love of cooking culminated in teaching cake decorating classes. She had a special love for plants, having one plant that is 40 yrs old and still thriving. Also, she shared many life stories and jokes with her family. Letha leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Dr. Rosa Bobia, Carolyn Tarrant (Johnny), Cynthia Williamson, and one son Robert Carl Williamson, Jr. of Charlotte, NC. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 37 great-great grandchildren, as well as cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
