Linda Armstrong

Mrs. Linda Millhouse Armstrong, better known to her family as Boochie, was born in Lee County on August 7, 1958 to the late James and Leaner Belle Millhouse. She transitioned from her earthly home on Wednesday October 19 ^th 2022 at Novant Health – Mint Hill Medical Center.

Linda was a 1976 graduate of Sanford Central High School, Sanford NC and furthered her education at Johnson C Smith University, Class of 1980, Charlotte NC, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education.

She pledged Gamma Lambda Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, Fall 1978. She loved her sorority and the sisterhood, they exemplified. She was a member of the Charlotte Alumni Chapter as well. She was a director at LA Petite Academy, Regional Director at Sunshine House, and retired Director from Alliance Center for Education. She loved her job and working with children and their families. She also loved her family and would do anything for them. She was a volunteer for Delta Gems. Linda never met a stranger, she loved people. If you knew Linda, you knew that her grandson Diesel was her pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Leaner Millhouse, a sister Lessie Upchurch, and brother, Bobby Lewis(Gertie).

Linda is survived by her husband Ronnie Armstrong, Daughter Allyson Armstrong, Son Brandon Armstrong, grandson Diesel Armstrong and special children she raised Kendra Upchurch and Mitchell Upchurch one brother, Robert(Bobo) Millhouse(Barbara). Memories will be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and sorority sisters.
