Linda G. Esters

October 13, 1952 — October 2, 2024

Linda Looper Esters was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 7:40 am.  Linda was born in Charlotte, NC on October 13,1952, to the parents of Samuel Looper and Isadora Camp.  She attended and graduated from West Charlotte High School.

After attending West Charlotte High School. She was employed at Bibb Distributing record company as she loved music and the last part of her career she retired from Duke Power.   She met her first love Janois Young before he went into the military and though they did not marry they remained friends and parents as Linda was a loving caring and devoted mother to her only child Karin Looper and a grandmother to her fur baby grandson little dog, Taco whom she is survived by. Throughout the years she did marry and would later divorce in life.  She loved her family, brothers and sisters, her dearly departed brother and sister, Jimmy Looper and Pamela Looper Crawford who she is now with in Heaven and her other surviving siblings, are William, Gary and Micheal Looper, Sandra Looper Walters, Janice Looper Reid,  and  Jo Ann Looper Robinson. In the earlier part of her life, she would attend Mount Moriah Baptist Church and later she visited various churches as she loved the Lord.

Her early hobbies included stain glass painting, bowling, cooking her mother’s famous “made from scratch pound cake” and most of all pulling the handle on a good Casino slot machine and hearing the sound of “cha ching, cha ching”.  She was a very kind, giving and loving woman, but also did not mince words or have a problem speaking her mind, however she never held to any ill feelings or conditions toward anyone, she would easily forgive and let you know, you were loved and mattered to her.

Linda’s last wish was for her family to continue to live on in peace love and happiness. She wanted to be remembered in living memory of the happy times of life, of the love and laugher she shared with us all.

With deep appreciation, we the Looper family wish to express our sincere thanks to all her family and friends near and far for all the love, support, and prayers you have extended throughout her lifetime.
