Obituary

Louise Glenn Rucker, born January 27, 1937 entered into eternal rest January 21, 2023.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was an active, life-long
member of First Baptist Church - West.
Louise was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. She graduated from West Charlotte High
School and went on to work as a Beauty Salon Stylist and a Classroom Teacher at Lil Star
Day Care Center. Her life’s joy and purpose was squarely centered around her Family! She
met and married the love of her life, Aubrey Rucker and was married for 58 years before his
death in April 2018. From their union, three children were born; Janice O’Neil Rucker, Aubrey
Rucker, Jr. and Yolanda Marlene Rucker. Louise took pride in raising her children and
devoted her life to ensuring that her family was well cared for. She raised not only her
children, but helped raise her sister’s children as well.
Louise kept both sides of her family (Lane family and Rucker family) and friends connected.
She enjoyed family gatherings, sharing meals and laughter!
Louise joins her husband - Aubrey Rucker, her parents - Sirvilla Simmons and James Glenn
and her sister - Louvenia Glenn Jones and her brother David Glenn, in Heaven. She is
survived by her children - Janice O’Neil Rucker, Aubrey Rucker, Jr. and Yolanda Marlene
Rucker; her grandchildren - Seven Brevard, and Addison Brevard; her sister - Doris Brown
and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
