Martha Hill

Mrs. Martha W. C. Hill the daughter of the late Robert and Irene Cloud was born in Chester County, South Carolina on January 22, 1924. She departed this earthly existence on September 20, 2018, at the age of 94.

Martha attended Union County Schools in Catawba. She didn't get to finish school due to caring for her family. She was employed by G & L Janitorial Services.  She was a member of Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. She attended regularly until health began to fail.

Martha was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Roosevelt Hill. To this union there was a total of ten (10) children. She was preceded in death by 4 of her children, Jimmy Cloud, Robert Lee Cloud, David Junior Hill and Walter Lee Hill.

Martha leaves to cherish her fond memories four (4) daughters, Katie C. Rowell, Elneather Hill, Betty Hill, Rev. Mary Horton (Curtis), two (2) sons, William R. Cloud (Maria), Jerome Hill (Whylea) all of Charlotte, NC, one (1) sister Bobbie Baxter of Brooklyn NY, eighteen (18) grandchildren, forty five (45) great grandchildren, thirty three (33) great great grandchildren, three (3) sister-in-laws Mary Ratchford, Berstine Pressley of Charlotte NC, and Maria Cloud of Rock Hill, SC, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
