Mary Louise Lockett-Jones

Mrs. Jones of Charlotte, NC died February 5, 2013 at Golden Living Center. Funeral Services will be held at Little Rock AME Zion Church 401 McDowell St., Charlotte NC. Visitation will be Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11am, and the home going services will start 12 noon. The daughter of the late Sam and Ella Lockett was born in Macon, GA. She received her secondary education from the Daytona Beach public school system and attended Florida A&M University. Mrs. Jones was a house keeper for Dr. Richard Freund of Mooresville, NC until she retired in 2002. Survivors Include her son, Chauncey E. Jones III (Regina), daughter Barbara Gayle Boyton, grand daughters, Takia C. Jones and Khrystyne R. Jones, grandson Marcel R. Jones, great grandson Charles A. Torrence III; brothers Willie Lockett (Matt) of Daytona Beach, FL, Walter Lockett of Charlotte, NC, and Lorenzo Lockett of West Palm Beach, FL; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many loyal friends. The family deeply appreciates the love and support they have received from friends and especially wish to thank the staff of Golden Living Center and Palliative Care of Charlotte, during the illness of Mrs. Jones. Alexander Funeral Home of Charlotte is serving the family.
