Mildred Martin Stevenson

August 10, 1935 — January 30, 2023

Mildred Martin Stevenson 87, received her wings on January 30, 2023  to go home and be with the Lord. Mildred was born in Charlotte,  North Carolina on August 10, 1935. She was born to the late Hal Martin, Sr.  and Lettie Mae Martin Polite in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Growing up in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Charlotte, Mildred gave her life to Christ at an early age. She became a loyal and faithful member at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed.  She loved her church, Pastor and members. She was also a dedicated Usher at the church. She loved her church.
Mildred was proud of the fact that she read the Bible of ten times and continue during her daily devotions.
Mildred was just a kind, funny and loving person.  She had a giggle that would make you laugh.
Mildred was a hard worker and continue to work until she became ill.
She worked at several prestigious restaurants as a Cook /Manager here in Charlotte.  Mildred was truly loved by many of her customers and coworkers.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her brothers Hal Martin, Jr. and Leroy Martin.
Mildred is survived by her son , Jerome Martin, one grandchild, sister, Mae Pearl Martin Howze , brother, Roger Lee McCory , and her aunt Doris Martin Black.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews , cousins and her best friend Mildred Scott.
