Minister Michael Wendell Bennett

Minister Michael Wendell Bennett was to born to the late Mr. Clayton W Bennett and Mrs. Hattie M Poole on October 3, 1956 in Norwalk, Connecticut. He departed this life on Thursday, December 14.

Michael accepted Christ at an early age and was ordained into ministry on Sunday, December 01, 2013 at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Tobias Wall.

Michael, affectionately known as Ricky, was a dedicated husband to his wife, Freda. The love that they shared could be felt by all. Ricky loved his daughters, grandsons, and his family and friends dearly and would always greet everyone with a smile.

As he steps into the shadow of death, the joy of his life will always remain in the heart of his wife, his ruby, Mrs. Freda Bennett of Charlotte, NC, his mother Mrs. Hattie M Poole of Camden, SC, his mother-in-law, Minister Hattie Reed of Wingate, NC, his father-in-law Edward Reed of Camden, SC, his daughters, Keonta (Thomas) Chambers of Wingate, Monique Taylor of Charlotte, and, D’Asia Bennett of Charlotte, seven siblings, Ms. Linda (Jeremiah) Hagins of Columbia, Vanessa (Gilbert) Belton of Columbia, Tracy (Toni) Bennett of Camden, Nathanial Taylor of Turkey Creek, Julia (Randolph) Poole of Camden, Cathy (Brandon) Bennett of Camden, and Felecia Bennett of Atlanta, 6 sister-in laws, the late Brenda Bivens of Charlotte, Edwina (Jeremy) Harrell of Monroe, Vivian Barrino of Albemarle, Myra Lynn (Bobby) & Anna Belle (David) of Oakboro, & Debra (Wayne) Marsh of Minera Springs, and the late Genesia (Ken) Rucker of Selma, seven brothers-in-law, Larry (Audrey) of Monroe, George Taylor of Charlotte, Darrow (Michelle) Taylor of High Point, Otis (Chiffon) Barrino of Albemarle, Gary (Melinda) Leak of Marshville, Tim (Rita) Leak of Wingate, and Mark (JoAnne) Leak of Charlotte, three grandsons, Trenton Chambers and Tristan Chambers of Wingate and Zander Bennett of Charlotte, and one great-grand daughter, Abiligale Chambers of Pageland,  a very special niece, Chole Joshua, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
