Mrs. Mary Sturdivant

Mary Cornelia Garris Sturdivant went to Heaven on March 26, 2023. Born
December 11, 1953, in Wadesboro, NC to the late Eugene & Lossie Mae Garris,
she was the seventh of eleven children.

After graduating High School, Mary went on to become a registered nurse,
practicing for over 25 years before retiring.

Her memory will be cherished by her wonderful loving family including her
husband of almost 50 years, Henry Thomas Sturdivant; her two beautiful
daughters Omega “Fatt Katt” and Hope Sturdivant. four grandchildren, Ajaih
Sturdivant, Makail Sturdivant (Quasha), Xavier Sturdivant & Haliyah Sturdivant;
great-granddaughter, Aalani Jones-Sturdivant and great-grandson, Kai’Morii Leon
Campbell. Additionally, Mrs. Mary is survived by her siblings: one brother, five
sisters; two brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins
and friends.
