OBITUARY Yvonne Laverne McCargo was born to Thomas and Mildred Davis on February 23, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY. She was 74 years old. She was a baptized member of the Bedford branch of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She moved to Charlotte, NC in 2008. She graduated from Eastern District High School in 1967 and went on to get her Bachelor’s Degree from the Academy for Stenotype and Stenography. She retired from the Home Group where she was a claims supervisor. In 1967 she married Scarvey McCargo (deceased) and they went on to have 4 children: Scarvey Jr., Stacey, Shane and Sheema. She loved to listen to music, dance and spend time with her family. Anyone that knows my mother knows that she loved a good piece of cake. She used to sew and often made her kid’s matching outfits. She was a very sharp dresser and back in the day, she wore some of the highest heels we had ever seen. She is survived by her children: Scarvey Jr., Stacey and Sheema, her sisters: Ann Smith and Thomasina Davis, Grandchildren: Scarvey Davis, Nadjah George, Sequanne, Tyrelle, Tyquanne and Shane McCargoJr., Shyanne Oxley, Nia Emmanuel, and, great-grandchildren: Jason and Calin Davis, Ajontea and Damanuel Mcleoud, Saniya McCargo, great, great granddaughter: Ava Brooks, nieces and nephews: Zeresh , Shoshanna, Plato III and Keenan Smith, Nakia, Alexander, Quincy and Jared Davis. Yvonne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1995. She is predeceased by parents Thomas and Mildred Davis, brother Alexander Davis and her beloved son, Shane McCargo. We miss mommy already and will always love her from the bottom of our hearts. Scripture for the back cover With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “look!
