Ms. Sheila Wright

Sheila Hanes Wright was born in Charlotte, NC on April 23, 1963, and entered eternal life
peacefully surround by her loving family on June 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by her beloved
mother, Patricia Hanes Rhames, father, Marion Hanes, Jr., grandparents, Sarah Ida and David Monroe,
Betty and Marion Hanes, Sr.
She graduated from Harry P. Harding High School where she was in the marching band. She also
attended North Carolina Central University. Sheila loved sports. Her favorite football team was the
Carolina Panthers.
Sheila started working at Wells Fargo (Wachovia) in 1997. She worked in various departments (phone
bank, email, escalations department, and ATM/debit card fraud). Sheila has been a faithful member of
Central Church of God for over 15 years. Sheila loved to travel and enjoyed family gatherings.
Sheila is survived by her children: Krystina Wright and Richard Wright II (Dahzhane), her siblings: Patrick
Hanes (Stephanie), Jennifer Hanes Aikens (Troy), her “lil brother” Brandon Hanes (Sharee) and Ebony
Rhames, her grandchildren (Her Sweet Faces), RJ, Braylen, Aubrie and Kyrie. A host of nieces and
nephews, Camille (Brandon), Jacob (Alina), Malachi, Bronwyn, Kyndal, Madeline, Bella, Amazion,
Tyquese and her companion Larry Calloway and a host of cousins and friends.
Sheila was a faithful servant of God, a loving mother and provider who will be missed tremendously. She
led a simple and very humble life, was always quick to make a friend, and slow to anger. Sheila will
always be remembered for her loving spirit, generous heart, and putting her family first.
Let us all cherish the beautiful memories that we created with her and never forget her three sayings,
“Hey Girl Heeyyyy”, “I’m sorry to bother you” and “I trust God”.
