Myra Geraldine Patterson Stowe was born June 06, 1951, to the late Richard Patterson and Thelma Virginia (Patterson) Fetterson in Charlotte, North Carolina. She transitioned to her heavenly home on January 26, 2024.
Myra was affectionately known by her family and friends as “Geraldine” and “Miss Myra”.
Myra was employed at Bellsouth/AT&T until retirement after 31 years. She then worked several years for Charlotte Hornets Sports Entertainment as a Uniform Room Supervisor and in Guest Services with the Carolina Panthers. Myra graduated from West Charlotte High School in Charlotte, North Carolina Class of 1970. She was also a long-time member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a member of the Women’s and Mass Choir.
When Myra wasn’t with friends and family, she enjoyed traveling and watching tennis, football, basketball, and Westerns. Her spiritual connection with God was undeniable and regularly shared scriptures with loved ones.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents Richard Patterson and Thelma Fetterson; brother James “Jimmy” Ronald Huntley; sister Brenda Patterson Wells.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Natasha McMichael; granddaughters, Nadiya McMichael, Lela McMichael; all of Charlotte; sisters, Stella Johnson of Hyattsville, MD, Helen Little (Leroy), Anita Hasty, all of Charlotte; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
