Norcecil (Cecil) Lowery was born on November 8, 1953, in Charlotte, NC, and entered eternal rest on July 8, 2021. Cecil was raised by his mother Jessie Mae Dean-Dixon and his step-father George Dixon.
Cecil was a graduate of West Charlotte Senior High School after which time he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps serving before the end of the Vietnam War. After serving his country honorably he later went on to obtain his CDL license and became an Over the Road Truck Driver for over 15 years. He enjoyed traveling all over the country as a Truck Driver often sending postcards to his children from the places, he visited that included stories about his many adventures. However, in his spare time, and his earlier years he also loved drawing, fishing, and singing the lyrics to his favorite old school songs. And in February 2021, he re-dedicated his life to Christ.
Cecil leaves to cherish his precious memories children: Daughter Cecilia (Cece) McQueen & Norcecil (Sha-Sha) Williams; six grandchildren: Tariq McQueen, Alana McQueen, Gabrielle McQueen, Mikiria Williams, Nalia Brown, and Jahre Williams; sister Frances (Bonnie) Sommers; Nieces: Donna (Dee Dee) Brewer & Dria-Bray-Holloway. Cousins, other relatives, and friends.
