Mr. Otha Lee Bridges, 80, of Charlotte, NC was born June 13, 1937 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Anthony and Bell Youngblood Bridges. He departed this earth on April 15, 2018 at his residence of 1700 Montana Drive, Charlotte, NC.
Otha graduated from high school and then became part of the Armed Forces. He served in the Korean War. He retired from the Caraustar Paper Company. Otha loved to fish and he loved his family. He became a new man when he accepted Jesus as His Lord and Savior.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Calvin Bridges, Ulysses Bridges and Billy Gene Bridges and three sisters: Ruth Gidney, Ruby Bridges and Iola Dillingham.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jeanette Bridges, a son Michael Bridges (Karen), three daughters Remona Bridges, Pamela Wright (Donald), and Tammy Bridges all of Charlotte, NC; two sisters Connie Mae Surratt and Shirley Bridges both of Shelby, NC. Otha was gifted with 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
The homegoing celebration for Otha Lee Bridges will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at Victory Christian Center- Campus 3 located at 6916 Old Pineville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28217- family hour at 11:00am and service at 12:00noon.
Burial will held Tuesday April 24 th in the VA National Cemetery- Salisbury, NC.
