Pastor Michael L. Winton

Pastor Michael Lee Winton passed peacefully from death to Life on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Levine and Dickson Hospice House Southminster. He was born on November 28, 1955, in Harriman, Tennessee to Laura Ann Winton and the late Lee Henry Winton. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Michael and Anita Winton were joined in holy matrimony on October 2, 1981. They relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1992 where they enjoyed 40 years of marriage. He pastored the New Life Christian Fellowship Church, in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 28 years. He also served as an Elder and Overseer for the Archdiocese United Christian Fellowship, International. Pastor Winton had a passion for teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He had a generous spirit and outgoing personality; he never met a stranger, making him loved by all.
He was an avid Bible reader and the only thing he loved more than the Tennessee Volunteers, was to share the Word of God with all he came in contact with. His life will forever be cherished by those who loved him most: Wife Anita Winton, daughter Aurra Rogers (Joseph) and children Jordan, Aubrey and Joshua. Daughter Tiffany George and children Jordan and Michael. Mother Laura Ann Winton, Sister Erica Winton, and Brothers Nathan Kilgo and Andy Winton (Melissa). A multitude of family and friends will miss him dearly.
