Benediction
Patricia Ann Bost, loving daughter of the late Jay Lee Russell and Marsell Goodwin Russell, was born on March 18, 1954.
Patricia was educated in the Cabarrus County School system, where she met her husband of 45 years, James Bost. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Bellefonte Presbyterian Church. She also attended Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she sang on the choir.
She worked tirelessly to help support her family for 16 years until she became ill in 1993. She loved listening to old music, joking around with her family and taking long trips. She went on to be with the Lord on Monday, February 22, 2016.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Jay Lee Russell, Sr., her brother, Jay Lee Russell, Jr., and two grandsons, Colin Edison Bost and Jaden Fitzgerald Bost.
Patricia leaves to cherish precious memories: her devoted husband, James Bost; four children, Darlene Bost-Kennedy, Gregory Bost (Queen), Charles Bost and Vanessa Bost all of Charlotte, North Carolina; her mother, Marsell Goodwin Russell of Harrisburg, North Carolina; two sisters, Brenda Crisco (Elmer) of Woodbridge, Virginia and Jacquelyn Russell of Kannapolis, North Carolina; one brother, Martin Russell; one uncle, Robert Goodwin of Charlotte, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Darius Bost (Amanda), Abriana Bost-Kennedy, Sinajai Bost , Nasiya Kennedy and Jaquis Bost; eight nephews, six nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
"The Broken Chain"
We little knew that morning, that God
was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide;
and though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
