Pearl Lee White Wylie transitioned from this life to eternity on Monday, September 17 at Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital Main.
Pearl was one of 11 children born to Ivory and Essie White in Richburg, SC on September 24, 1932. She was the mother of one daughter and two sons. Her husband, Jesse Sr., parents, 10 siblings, son, Tim and her daughter Delores all preceded her to eternal life.
She was employed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system for over 30 years. As a faithful member of Walls Memorial AME Zion Church for over 40 years Pearl served diligently as a deaconess, Home mission president, Missionary Department, Progressive ladies and the hymn choir until her health declined. Pearl loved Hymn choir singing. She not only sang with the church hymn choir but also with the Queen City Hymn Choir and her neighborhood Hymn choir. Hymn choir rehearsals at her home were the place to be. Reading the bible and living by the word was one of her greatest pleasures. She had a joyous laugh that would bring joy to all who were blessed to be in her presence.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son Jesse and his wife Linda, Tim's wife Eliza. One sister-in-law, Mildred Reid, 4 grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren.
