Prentice Emanuel Alexander was born on April 20, 1944, and entered into eternal rest on
October 15, 2024, at his home. He was born to Robert A. Alexander, SR, and Louise Chambers Alexander in Charlotte, NC.
Prentice was educated in Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools, graduating from Second Ward High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Josephine Geddy, and to their union, two children were born.
Prentice's name was placed on the United House of Prayer for All People (Charlotte Mother House) role at birth. He marched with the Concert Band, he served on the Jr. Adult Ushers #2, and the Male Ushers of the Charlotte, Mother House.
Prentice was an avid golfer and basketball player. He enjoyed his weekly get-togethers with the breakfast club. His greatest joy was his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and surprising family members at their homes whenever it was time for everyone to leave he would always say Ï love everybody
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, mother: Louise C. Chambers, Father: Robert A. Alexander, SR, Siblings: John Eugene Alexander, Robert A. Alexander, JR, Delores Thomas, Gloria Etta Dixon, and Reginald Alexander.
Prentice leaves to cherish his precious memories: daughter: Tina Norman (Michael) of Huntersville, NC, son: Reverend Donald Alexander (Seronica) of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren: Deion, Taylor, and Alex, one brother: Willie Martin Alexander of Lancaster, NC and one sister: Patricia Funderbur (Jimmy) of Charlotte, NC, one sister-in-law: Artiest Bell Johnson and one brother-in-law: Joseph Gaddy, both of Charlotte, NC, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
