Roland Lee Little was called home by God on Monday, June 22, 2026 after having dialysis for about 19 years and then being diagnosed with cancer. He said that he was tired.
Roland, who was known to many family and friends as LITTLE MAN, was born in Union County to Robert Lee Little and Mary Carolina Croutch. Roland was the third of eight other siblings born into this union including Eugene, Marshall, Christine, Maxine, Robert, Hubert, Ray, and Jimmy Lee.
Roland was a member of Rock Hill A.M.E. Zion church in Indian Trail, NC. He was a true believer of God. He said he wanted to be on the Morning Train and passed away at 4:40 A.M. He said the afternoon train might be too late! God granted his request!
Roland served in the Army for 6 years and after that he was employed as a stock clerk at Harris Teeter for 45 years.
Roland was an avid lover of sports and several teams. He enjoyed golf, NASCAR, football, and basketball. His favorite team was The Dallas Cowboys!
Roland was preceded in death by his wife Stella Montgomery Little, his parents, Robert Lee Little and Mary Carolina Croutch his siblings, Eugene, Marshall, Christine, Maxine, Hubert, and Robert.
Fond memories will be cherished by his brothers Ray Little (Deborah) of Charlotte, NC and Jimmy Lee Little (Sheneda) of Louisville, KY, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close special friends.
