Sallie Mae Jamison went to the Lord on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 at Pavilion Nursing and Rehab Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
She was born the 29th of January 1929 to the late Edna (Mother) Gaymon in Sumter, South Carolina. She was raised in Wilmington, North Carolina, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and finally finding her way in her beloved Charlotte, North Carolina in 1947.
Sallie loved and cherished every moment with her only child Leon Jamison ensuring he could find his way without hesitation.
Sallie and her partner Charles “Paul” Ross shared a beautiful 40 year relationship.
She was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina .
Sallie’s employer Jimmy Lee and family had a special place in her heart.
Sallie was preceded in death by: her son Leon Jamison, mother Edna Gaymon, brother James Wilder, sister Dorothy Ford.
Sallie leaves to cherish her memory: grandson Michael (Her Big Boy) Robbins of Magnolia, Delaware, granddaughter in law Oradee Robbins of Magnolia, Delaware, great granddaughter Natalie Alston of Glen Burnie, Maryland, great great grandsons Xavior and Bishop Alston of Glen Burnie, Maryland, great great granddaughter Lillie Alston of Glen Burnie, Maryland and nephew Edward H. Ford, Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
