Sandra Moore Burton

Sandra Moore Burton entered this blessed life as the fifth child of the late William Laudis Moore and Hazel Jackson (Moore) Ellison, on April 2, 1952, in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. She was called home to rest on Friday January 26, 2024.

She graduated from Kings Mountain High School and attended Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Affectionately known as Ticki to her family, Sandra was always known to lavish her family and friends with a generous spread of food, fun, and giving gifts for any occasion. She loved to dance and opened her home to family and guests to stay whenever they needed or wanted to. Sandra is known for her impeccable taste in fashion and has always loved to travel.

Sandra married Willie “Billy” Burton on November 19, 1988, and for 35 years they were committed to each other with an unbreakable bond of endless love blessed by God.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Peggy Moore Floyd and Shirley Yvonne Moore Cauthen. To continue celebrating cherished memories of a beautiful life, Sandra leaves her loving and devoted husband Willie “Billy” Burton, one brother, Sharward L. Moore, Sr. (Kym G. Moore); two sisters Jackie Moore Cook and Polly Moore McKee (James McKee); along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
