Sandra Ruth Jones Land

Sandra Ruth Jones Land passed away at her residence on June 23 ^rd , 2021.

Sandra attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. She worked for Southern Precision Spring Company for over 20 years. She also worked for over 10 years for Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System.

Sandra was joined in Holy Matrimony to Joseph Land Sr. on October 26, 1969 until her passing. This union produced 4 children.  Joseph Land Jr, Octavious Land, Diandra Land and Jolanda Land. From her children she has 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Sandra was a long serving member of Langrum Branch Baptist church where she served as a member of the Usher Board as well as a Deaconess.  She was also a Missionary for the church.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Willie Jones and Ruth McCain, sister Diane Jones Smith, brothers Ulysses McCain, Rufus Jones, Charles Jones and Cletus Jones.

Sandra leaves to cherish her memories her husband Joseph E. Land Sr, her two sons Joseph Jr and Octavious, two daughters Diandra and Jolanda, one brother Murtarza Rahbah, two special nieces Kim and Reshanda, one special nephew Milton, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral service for close family and friends will be at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Langrum Branch Baptist Church, 1500 McFarland Rd; York, SC 29745. Burial will follow immediately after at Langrum Branch Cemetery.  Alexander Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
