Ms. Shalonda Patrice Gallman was born August 30, 1979 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Pattie Gallman and Hubert White. She departed this life on February 19, 2021, at Atrium Health Mercy, Charlotte, NC. Shalonda attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in 1997. She joined Middle Street African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church at an early age where she was very active in the church and participated on the Usher Board. Shalonda also enjoyed Vacation Bible School and Sunday School. As she grew older, she devoted her heart to the community and giving back. She enjoyed serving in the Ponderosa Community, Outreach Programs, and was an incisive political strategist where she served on many winning campaigns. She began her media platform at WGIV Radio. Shalonda was also employed with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools where she left a long-lasting impression on many, ranging from the students, staff, educators, parents, and others. Shalonda continued her education at Queens University and later transferred to Johnson C. Smith University where she pursued Business Administration. In 2018, she was sworn-in as a Mecklenburg County Deputy Clerk of Superior Court. She assisted in many capacities and actively contributed in various organizations within the Judicial System. Her loving, caring memory will forever rest and flow in the hearts of her daughter, Amil Cheerish Lee McCall; mother, Pattie Gallman of Charlotte, NC; father, Hubert White of Lancaster, SC; brothers, Heath White (Crystal) and Hubert D. White, Jr.; sisters, April Alexander and Tomelia Nicole White; two special aunts Versie Gallman and Carolyn White, as well as many more aunts and uncles. She also leaves a niece, Trinity Brown, and nephew, Tristan White, with great memories to cherish; a special cousin, Marlon Boyles; her Godmother, Artie Bailey; and many more family, friends, and coworkers.
