Sylvester Wayne Jones, Sr.

Remembering His Life....

Mr. Sylvester Wayne Jones was born on September 28th 1954 in
Washington DC to the late Charles Jones and the late Ida B. Jones. He
attended public schools in Washington DC and later relocated to Charlotte
NC and obtained employment doing work for the City of Charlotte as well
as Charlotte Housing Authority where he later retired.
Sylvester departed this life and transitioned home on July 17th 2023 in
Charlotte NC after a long battle of illnesses from suf ering a stroke in
2020.

A Time to live:

Sylvester was a sweet, loving and caring man. His smile and laugh lit up
the room as soon as he entered. He loved to have fun with his kids, friends
and neighbors. He loved music and would always play oldies but goodies as
well as R&B. He was always full of life, happy and always right there to
lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His presence, smile and love
will truly be missed by everyone he touched.

Sylvester is preceded in death by his Mother the late Ida B. Jones, his
Father the late Charles Jones, his Brother the late Charles Jones Jr., his
Sister Angela Jones.

He leaves to preserve and cherish his memories: One Sister Peggy Togans of
Culpeper Virginia. His Son’s Sylvester W. Jones Jr., Jules Neal, His
Daughters, Crystal Neal, Sadie Neal, and his adopted Daughter Renae
Davidson all of Charlotte NC.
