Teresa Evonne Lowery

Ms. Teresa Evonne Lowery, daughter of the late Charlie Louis Hinton and Annie Mae Lowery made her grand entrance into this world on December 28, 1967. On September 14, 2018 Teresa made her transition to her heavenly home. Teresa was a lifelong resident of Charlotte and attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. She graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1987 and attended Central Piedmont Community College.   She worked in daycare services while teaching children from day to day. One of her favorite things to do was cooking and enjoying time with her family. She was a very outgoing and spirit filled individual and had a personal relationship with the Lord.  Teresa attended Ramoth A.M.E. Zion church at an early age and sung on the gospel choir. Later she joined the Gift of Love church where she helped with the food bank. She married at an early age to Mr. Kenneth Patterson but later divorced.   Loved ones who preceded her in death were her grandparents, Mrs. Janie Mae Lowery and Mr. Spofford (Jean) Lowery and Mr. Louis and Mozell Hinton.   Those left to cherish her memories includes one sister, Tawana Michele Lowery, one brother, Charles Anthony (Joneen) Hinton; two uncles, Malcom (Nancy) Lowery; Johnny (Beverly) Hinton; aunts, Stephanie Lowery, Vanessa (Michael) Parker, Mary Crosby, Marjorie Collins, Carrie Jones, and Leola Washington; nieces, Alicia Little, La’Mya Lowery, Neka Kirkland, and Garnesha Hinson; nephews, Ja’Chareo Hinson and Derrick Kirkland and a host of other relatives and friends.
