Terri Cassietta Anderson was born on November 1, 1964 in Charlotte, NC. She was the daughter of Dr. Roy Anderson, Jr. and the late Mrs. Barbara Tarry Anderson. Terri departed this life on July 9, 2023, at Atrium (CMC) Main, after a short illness.
Terri started modeling & singing in her youth. She modeled for Belk at one time. She traveled to many states winning several teen starlet beauty pageants. She played Clarinet in grade school, junior high, as well in the WCHS marching band. Terri sang with the high school band, The News. After high school she sang with a local group/band, Felix & Jarvis. Her singing and musical talents may not have made it to a professional level but it may have it she had continued on that road.
In 1983 after graduating from high school, she met Reginald Randell Accor at a West Charlotte and Crest football game. They subsequently married, and to that union, one son, Brandon Randell Accor was born.
Terri loved Prince and Michael Jackson dearly. She even had memorials and birthdays for them after they passed! She loved Prince so much that she named one of her dogs after him! She was always the life of ANY room she went in and could warm ANY soul with her energy and flamboyant charisma and personality! Brandon said "My mother lived life to the fullest with little to no regrets! I only wish I had a glimmer of that kind of life." She was definitely loved and adored by so many!
Terri enjoyed life and throughout her years, she was a blessing to many people and was a giver by nature. She gave from the heart and wouldn’t allow you to not accept it. She loved God. She accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. She loved her sons, her family and friends and she dearly loved her dogs. Cooking out was a favorite past-time and listening to music would go hand in hand with that. She really enjoyed going to yard sales to find those good deals.
Chitterlings, any time of the year was an all time favorite!
Terri attended Greater Providence Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed the Word, the fellowship and the gospel choir was a favorite of hers.
Terri was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Tarry Anderson; her brother, Carsby Leroy Anderson; paternal grandparents, Roy Sr. and Ada Tyler Anderson; maternal grandparents, Armstead and Bertha Tarry.
Those left to cherish precious memories are her 2 sons: Brandon (Hope) Accor and Avion Julian Anderson and his father, Lamont Chambers; Father, Dr. Roy Jr. (Queen) Anderson; 4 grandchildren: Jaylen Moss-Accor, Ja'Lia Moss-Accor, Ja'Rae Moss-Accor and Ja'Kayla Moss-Accor; 1 brother, Antoine Sanders; 2 aunts, Novella T.
