Thelma Ware

January 6, 1935 - September 23, 2022

Thelma Jean Ware affectionately known to many as “Thel,” passed away on Friday September

23, 2022, surrounded by her family. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and

Bernice Perry, one daughter: Sandra Perry, two sisters: Elvia Goodson and Wilma Bruin, and

three great grandchildren; Treyvon, Aliayah, and Takari. Thelma was a lifelong member of

Rockwell A.M.E. Zion Church, where she so graciously served until her health began to fail.

She leaves to cherish fond memories; a loving husband of 65 years, Theodore Ware. Two sons:

Ronald Ware (Iris) and Stewart Ware. Two Daughters: Vonda Ware and Tina Baldwin (Donald),

13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces,

nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at Rockwell AME Zion Church on Sunday October 2, 2022. Visitation

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, service begins at 2:00 PM.
