Theresa Genniene Hassen

Theresa Genniene Hassen, 57, of Gary, Indiana transitioned on Sunday October 24, 2021. Theresa was loved and raise since birth, January 5th, 1964 to Betty and Saul King as they also raised her foster sister Jean M.

Theresa attended New Wallace High School and graduated in 1982. She then attended Indiana University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Administration in 1987. Theresa was confirmed at Saint Phillip's Lutheran Church in Gary and transferred her beliefs to become a member at Linda Vista Second Baptist San Diego, California.

Theresa was a loving, forgiving, kind woman and the list can go on. She remained positive and optimistic throughout all her medical conditions and truly believed in treating people how she wanted to be treated. She enjoyed cooking, eating out and various foods from around the world.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Betty and Saul King, her husband Paul and children Tori and Taylor Hassen.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her loving son Terrell A. Hassen and daughter Katya M. Andrews and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
