Vassanta Jefferys

Vassanta La Sheri Jefferys was born on April 3, 1961 in Memphis, TN to the late Troy Person Sr. and her surviving mother Carter Person. She accepted Christ at a young age. She departed this life on April 25, 2018 in Charlotte, NC at her home.

Vassanta was a proud graduate of Messick High School in Memphis, TN. She relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1966 and worked at Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat until 2000. After her tenure there, she began working at the United States Postal Service and continued as a faithful, dedicated employee until her departure of this life.

Sister Vassanta was a faithful servant of the Lord that lived the scripture Revelation 2:10 fully and exemplified it even during her illness. As a cheerful giver that always set a positive example, she was known for helping others, even those that were not her own. She instilled this faithfulness and example in her children and grandchildren at a young age. Spending frequent time with her grandchildren gave her the most joy.

She leaves to preserve and cherish her memories: her father the Late Troy Person Sr. (preceding her in death) and mother Mennie Person of Memphis, TN,; children Tiffany Jefferys-Murray (Garren) of Charklotte, NC; Carandus Jefferys of Memphis , TN; Ariel Young (Jamill) of Charlotte, NC; and Willie Jefferys Jr. of Charlotte, NC; Grandchildren: Talecia, Tamesha, JaKayla, LaDasia, Gabryel, Addison, Jamill, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to also forever memories.
