Veronica Cooper Washington

Veronica Cooper Washington (59) of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away in her hometown on December 29, 2023. Veronica was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on October 19, 1964, to Anthenette and James Cooper. She attended West Mecklenburg High School and took early childhood education courses at the community college level.

Veronica married Reverend William E. Washington Jr, and their blended family consisted of 3 children: William, Lasheka, and Rasheeda. She worked as an early childhood educator until her death. Veronica was always known for her infectious energy and her giving heart. She enjoyed shopping, trying new foods, and traveling. Veronica leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband William, whom she affectionately called Rev. Her only biological child Rasheeda (Brian), her daughter Lasheka (Kareem), and son William (Stephanie), eight grandchildren, her father James, a special nephew Cedric, three sisters, one brother, a host of nieces & nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog Cabana. Veronica was predeceased by her mother and special nephew Rico.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, 2015 Kennesaw Drive, Charlotte, NC, or CashApp: $E1MANU.
