Victoria Green

Victoria Anderson Green was born to William Anderson and Mattie Bell Gleaton Anderson on August 24, 1942 in New York City, NY.  As our beloved matriarch, she cared for both her children, as well as her grandchildren for most of her adult life. The force in our family, she held us all together with kind words and remarkable strength.  Ms. Vickie or Grammy to some, loved enjoying herself. She particularly relished in international travel. We were privileged to enjoy many hikes, sunsets, cruises and sightseeing tours with her.  She was known for her lighthearted approach to life. To know her was to love her... Left behind to cherish her are her three children — Theodora “Toni” Edwards and her son-in-law Andrew Edwards, Jasiatic (Jouana) Anderson and Davien Anderson; and five grand-kids — Carmen Edwards, Jarrett Edwards, Vuai Ayubu, Nahimana Machen and Sundiata Machen. Her “Celebration of Life” services will be held on her birthday — Saturday, August 24 at 12:00 p.m. at 1429 Bryant St., Charlotte, NC 28208.  Please send all flowers and gifts to 3216 Barons Court Rd.
