Willie Grant, Jr.

Mr. Willie Grant Jr. was born on March 3, 1937 to the late Willie and Rebecca Allison Grant, Sr., in Florence, South Carolina. He departed this life on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County (Tucker House). Mr. Willie Grant Jr. was a loving man that loved to be with his family and friends.   Mr.Willie Grant Jr. was joined in holy matrimony to Geneva Grant for sixty years and this union was blessed with seven children.   Mr. Willie Grant Jr. has taken the final journey just as his parents, his brother, Sam Grant; two sisters, Dorethea Abraham and Rosa Cage; three children, Ida Mae Osborne, Leroy Grant, Willie Grant III and grandson, Corey Grant.   Mr.Willie Grant Jr. leaves to cherish his special memories: his beloved wife, Geneva Grant; three daughters, Willie Mae Pegues of Florence, S.C., Betty Ann Grant (Willie Lee) of Charlotte, N.C, and Brenda Grant Colbert (Shawn) of Charlotte, N.C., nine grandchildren; Latoya, Wallace, Jazmine, Iesha, Tyrone, Tony, John and Buster; nineteen great grandchildren; two brothers, George Grant of Charlotte, N.C., and Charles (Kensy) Grant of Johnsonville, S.C., one sister, Bessie Mae Cooper of Charlotte, N.C., sister in law, Helen Nelson of Charlotte, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
